Kai Buehler, CEO
Kai Buehler is CEO of mms Inc. in the USA. With over 12 years experience in the mobile industry, he has worked on mobile marketing campaigns and iTV-solutions for ABC, TNT/TBS, endemol, NBC Universal, CBS, BET, CW, New Line Cinema, Sony Pictures, just to name a few. Before joining mms in early 2010, Kai started MindMatics’ iTV-business in May 2006 and the company became the major mobile service provider for America’s top TV-shows such as “Deal or No Deal”, “Big Brother”, “Survivor”, “Sabado Gigante” or “America’s Next Top Model”.
From 2000 to 2006, Kai was the CEO of plan_b media, which he co-founded in 2000 and led to profitability. He successfully grew the company to a leader in the production and distribution of mobile entertainment content with offices in New York, Cologne, London and Vienna. Up to its acquisition by MindMatics in 2005 he had signed the mobile distribution rights for over 70 licenses, such as Star Wars, War of the World, Garfield, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday 13th or The Muppet Show.
Before founding plan_b media Kai worked for Siemens and the international consulting firm Droege & Comp., where he was a management consultant for eBusiness projects.
Kai studied at Universities in Europe and Asia; he holds a Master Degree in Business from the University of Paderborn, Germany and a PhD in Economics from the University of Hong Kong.
Dave Chapman, CFO
David is an accomplished finance executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in diverse industries including wireless, software development and manufacturing, professional services and manufacturing, in both public and privately held companies. David has served as the CFO of various companies, including m-Qube, Inc., Primix Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: PMIX) and matchmine, LLC. David has a proven record of accelerating top line revenue growth, successfully completing both buy and sell side M&A transactions and closing capital and debt transactions to fund operational growth. At mms, David is responsible for general business strategy, operations leadership, corporate finance, human capital management, and general administration. David earned his BA in economics at Hobart College, and his Masters degree from Northeastern University. Outside of work, he enjoys his family, golf, fishing, and vegetable gardening.
Thi Linh Wernau, VP of Sales & Account Management
An integrated marketing executive with expertise in the mobile industry, Thi Linh has more than ten years of industry experience. At mms, she is responsible for sales and account management, helping clients strategically integrate mobile solutions into multi-channel plans, in order to drive both business and brand value. Thi Linh has a proven track record of client management expertise combined with big brand, agency, and Fortune 500 experience. Most recently, Thi Linh was Senior Mobile Strategist at Nokia Interactive, where she led the brand strategy for the U.S. Previously, she has held leadership roles at agencies including Hill Holliday and Foote, Cone, & Belding as well as at technology companies such as m-Qube. She was named to the 2008 Boston Business Journal top “40 Under 40” list. Thi Linh is the recipient of the 2007 MITX award for Best Use of Mobile for “Text-a-Tip,” the first anonymous text tip line in the United States, created for the Boston Police Department and its Crime Stoppers program. Thi Linh holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and enjoys photography, design, gardening, and travel.
David Benaim, Director Client Solutions
David has more than 12 years experience in software development, six of which are in mobile application development. At mms, David oversees and leads technical delivery, ensuring technical and project management excellence and the implementation of best practices. He is also responsible for managing the delivery phases of the program globally. David has extensive experience in the technical field, working at both high tech startups and Fortune 500 companies in the US, Israel, and Venezuela. Prior to mms, he held leadership roles at technology companies including VeriSign, m-Qube, and Bio-Rad. David graduated from the P. Coll Institute of Technology in Venezuela. When not working, David enjoys swimming, racquetball, music, and anything to do with the outdoors.
